Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Operational Planner to provide advanced operational and strategic planning support to
USAFCENT.
This role requires expert knowledge of joint planning doctrine, exercise development, and force integration in the
CENTCOM AOR.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise and support
USAFCENT
planning teams in development of theater-wide contingency and deliberate plans (IAW JOPES). Coordinate with service components, HHQ, and coalition partners on planning efforts. Provide expertise on force flow, basing, deployment, and sustainment planning. Support exercise planning and execution across
USCENTCOM
AOR, including CJCS-directed exercises. Present briefings and recommendations to senior officers on planning efforts and operational posture. Assist with
STRAT/TET/MAAP
processes, development of Air Tasking Orders, and joint/coalition C2 integration. Manage long-range exercise schedules in coordination with HAF, USAFWC, and ACC.
Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and CI polygraph (current within 5 years) At least 10 years of experience in joint operational planning within a DoD environment Deep understanding of CENTCOM AOR, Global Force Management, and exercise planning Experience working in JOPP, JOPES, and with USAF operations highly preferred Prior service in USAF, SOF, or Joint HQ-level operations planning is a strong plus Excellent written and oral communication skills This position is announced as a potential (contingency) hire
