Job Summary:

Cornerstone Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated EDI Analyst with 5+ years of experience in electronic data interchange (EDI), specifically within the transportation and logistics industry . This role acts as the central coordinator between our trading partners, TMS provider, and EDI integrator , ensuring successful implementation, testing, and ongoing support of EDI transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EDI workflows and standards, excellent communication skills, and an eye for detail when reviewing specifications, identifying exceptions, and managing testing processes. While this role does not perform direct EDI mapping or configuration , it is responsible for specification review, test planning and execution , and output validation to ensure quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact with trading partners for all EDI-related communications, ensuring clarity, alignment, and issue resolution. Coordinate activities between trading partners, the TMS provider, and the EDI integrator throughout the onboarding and support lifecycle. Review EDI specifications and call out special requirements or deviations from standard formats. Create and manage tests within the TMS platform and evaluate X12 output files for compliance, accuracy, and partner-specific needs. Manage multiple EDI projects simultaneously with a focus on deadlines, dependencies, and follow-through. Maintain a structured repository of trading partner specifications, contacts, custom mappings, test scripts, and related documentation. Facilitate and document trading partner meetings, status calls, and implementation checkpoints. Monitor EDI transaction flows and work with technical teams to address exceptions or failures. Support the evaluation of alternative EDI platforms, providing operational feedback and coordinating pilot efforts. Provide clear, proactive communication to internal stakeholders and external partners regarding project status, risks, and decisions.

Qualifications:

5+ years of EDI experience, preferably in the transportation or logistics sector. Familiarity with truck and intermodal EDI transaction sets such as 204, 210, 214, 990, 997, 404,824,322,410 etc. Solid understanding of FTP, SFTP, AS2, and other secure transmission protocols. Hands-on experience working with or coordinating activities involving a Transportation Management System (TMS). Strong skills in reviewing EDI specifications and validating X12-formatted data. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records and documentation. Superior verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of professionalism. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities. Strong project coordination and issue-tracking abilities. Relentless follow-up and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EDI testing processes and working alongside third-party EDI integrators. Exposure to EDI tools/platforms (e.g., Cleo, SPS Commerce, IBM Sterling, TrueCommerce, etc.). Experience participating in technology evaluations or platform migrations. Proficient in Excel and MySQL for EDI reporting, metrics and analysis.
