This position will lead interdisciplinary long-range land managementplanning processes for select lands owned and managed by the Agency ofNatural Resources (Agency), including State Forests and WildlifeManagement Areas. Work principally involves coordinating and executingcomplex land management planning processes in conjunction with otherAgency staff including writing management plans, conducting naturalresource field assessments, and leading the public engagement phases ofmanagement planning.
This position presents an opportunity to engage as aleader in planning for management of Vermont’s public lands.
Individuals with general natural resource expertise or specialization inwildlife biology, forestry, recreation or ecology and public engagementexpertise are encouraged to apply.## •Environmental Factors•Normal office working conditions generally apply. Incumbents must beprepared to attend meetings at locations throughout Vermont, conferencesor seminars which may occur outside normal working hours. Private meansof transportation may be required for travel to public meetings, fieldsites and ANR district offices. Interaction with a variety of peopleincluding making public presentations and facilitating stakeholderengagement meetings, which may involve expressions of strong differencesof opinion about plan content / goals. Represents the Agency at varioushearings and meetings.
