SCOPE:
We’re looking for a Director of Pricing tolead pricing strategy and execution across our product portfolio.
This role is ideal for a data-driven insurance professional withstrong actuarial and business instincts who’s ready to drivepricing performance and partner closely with Product, Underwriting,and Analytics teams. You’ll play a critical role in shaping rateadequacy, competitiveness, and profitability in a dynamic,fast-paced non-standard auto insurance market. DUTIES:
Lead the design and implementation of pricing strategies,ensuring alignment with profitability and growth targets. Oversee rate reviews and pricing model development acrossstates and segments. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Underwriting,Claims, and Modeling to inform pricing decisions and support newproduct initiatives. Drive rate filing strategies, including preparation ofactuarial support and regulatory responses. Monitor performance metrics such as loss ratios, retention, andconversion to evaluate pricing effectiveness and recommendadjustments. Manage and mentor a team of pricing analysts or actuaries,fostering analytical rigor and business acumen. Ensure compliance with actuarial standards and regulatoryrequirements across jurisdictions.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics,statistics, economics, finance, or related field required.
ASA/ACAS
designation preferred; progress toward actuarialcredentials is a plus. Master’s degree in quantitative discipline is a plus.
SKILLS &EXPERIENCE
5+ years of pricing experience in P&C insurance, preferablyin personal or non-standard auto. Deep understanding of actuarial pricing methods, loss costmodeling, and competitive analysis. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, oractuarial software (e.g., Emblem, Radar). Experience supporting rate filings and communicating withregulators. Strong strategic thinking, business judgment, and communicationskills. Familiarity with Florida and Texas markets is a strongplus.
