Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented ERM Actuary to lead their Enterprise Risk Management team. This role is critical in supporting the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risks across the life insurance business. The ideal candidate will bring strong actuarial expertise, a deep understanding of life insurance products, and a passion for enhancing risk governance and decision-making frameworks.
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented ERM Actuary to lead their Enterprise Risk Management team. This role is critical in supporting the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risks across the life insurance business. The ideal candidate will bring strong actuarial expertise, a deep understanding of life insurance products, and a passion for enhancing risk governance and decision-making frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Modeling & Stress Testing:
Develop and maintain risk models to assess capital adequacy and solvency under various scenarios.
Conduct stress and scenario testing in alignment with regulatory and internal requirements (e.g., ORSA).
Governance & Reporting:
Prepare risk reports and dashboards for senior management, the Risk Committee, and regulators.
Support the implementation of risk policies, controls, and procedures across business units.
Collaboration & Advisory:
Partner with finance, investment, and underwriting teams to embed risk considerations into strategic decisions.
Provide actuarial insights into new product development, reinsurance strategies, and capital management.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., Solvency
II, NAIC, IFRS 17, ICS
).
Assist with regulatory filings and internal audit reviews related to risk management.
Qualifications:
Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA) or equivalent designation.
8+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in life insurance or risk management.
Strong knowledge of life insurance products, actuarial modeling, and capital frameworks.
Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., AXIS, Prophet) and data tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
