Position Overview:
A prominent insurance provider is seeking a seasoned actuarial professional to lead pricing strategy and portfolio analytics for its primary casualty business. This role is ideal for a credentialed actuary who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the development of innovative pricing tools and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide actuarial support for large account pricing and referral reviews.
Partner with underwriting to align pricing strategies with business goals.
Lead the development and refinement of rating models and pricing frameworks.
Contribute to strategic planning and portfolio management initiatives.
Monitor pricing adequacy and risk trends across the casualty portfolio.
Support the launch of new products through actuarial analysis and modeling.
Qualifications:
4-10 years of actuarial experience in the P&C insurance industry, with a strong focus on commercial lines.
ACAS or FCAS required.
Advanced Excel skills are essential.
Experience with tools such as SQL, VBA, Power BI, R, SAS, or Python is a plus.
Preferred Attributes:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of high-impact projects.
Adaptable to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and a passion for continuous learning.
