In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable BI solutions that transform data into actionable insights. You will lead strategic data initiatives, manage a Data Analyst, and collaborate with business stakeholders to drive decision-making through reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics. This role also plays a key part in implementing and maintaining data governance standards to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across the organization. You should enjoy digging deep into data, finding meaningful patterns, and translating them into business value. If you are a self-starter who is naturally curious and driven to not just report what happened, but to understand why it happened, then this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions using tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models. Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions Provide strategic business insights and recommendations through the interpretation of dashboards, reports, and data trends Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly reporting on business trends and the status of digital experience initiatives for senior management Collaborate closely with senior leadership and functional teams to identify key performance metrics and inform business strategy Manage and mentor a Data Analyst, ensuring high-quality deliverables Build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using tools such as SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, or similar. Optimize SQL queries and data transformations for performance and scalability Ensure data accuracy and consistency through rigorous validation and testing Implement and maintain data governance standards, including data definitions, access controls, data quality rules, and metadata management Document solution architecture, workflows, and data lineage to support transparency and compliance Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure continuous performance and reliability. Support ongoing business performance reporting and ad hoc analysis requests. Provides guidance and insight on data visualization options for report design Stay current with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field 10+ years of experience in BI development, data analytics, or data engineering Demonstrated experience leading or managing other analytics professionals Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex data into business insights Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling. Experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Azure) and scripting languages such as Python or SQL Experience establishing and adhering to data governance principles and practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Exposure to data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DCAM). Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product teams.
