Job Summary:

This position is an exciting opportunity to lead data strategy, analytics and reporting at a small and growing company focused on rare diseases. This role will provide guidance and support to commercial leadership and implement commercial strategies that drive sales and efficiency. This role will work collaboratively with our marketing, sales, patient services and market access teams to provide strategic insights and analytical value. This individual will also provide guidance and support to the VP of business development to evaluate business development opportunities. Along with the head of commercial operations, this individual will be responsible for the planning and execution of the overall data, analytics and reporting strategy, with the support from a team of three and cross-functional partners. This individual will actively participate in commercial planning by leading actionable analyses and communicating results to drive action and impact. This is a hybrid position that requires two days in the Paramus, NJ office.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage a team of three individuals to develop account tiers, develop HCP segmentations, produce HCP alerts, support annual situation analyses, develop new analytic tools, drive data standardization, support field alignment and structure decisions, conduct pricing research and support special projects. Design a reporting strategy and oversee the implementation of cloud-based reporting to support sales, reimbursement and patient services field teams. Lead the planning, implementation and support of customer-centric dashboards. Oversee the development of forecast models in partnership with the Advisor to the commercial VP. Update sales forecasts and analyze sales trends. Lead analytics using anonymized patient-level claims data to identify and quantify clinical outcome advantages. Support related field employee training.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for the performance management and professional development of data strategy, analytics and reporting team members. Provide direction, advice, coaching and/or mentorship as needed.

Requirements:

Degree in related field with master’s degree preferred 8 – 12+ years of pharmaceutical analytics experience as well as proven experience leading and managing teams Advanced Excel skills and programming experience in languages such as Python, R, VBA, SAS, etc. Knowledge of statistical tools, business intelligence tools and data management tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, Alteryx, etc. Experience in building sales forces, incentive compensation, research, finance, US pricing, data flow, finance, etc. Ability to analyze and interpret regulations, legislation, rulemaking, policy advisory opinions. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a group involving stakeholders with a variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects. Critical thinking and the ability to be accurate and efficient.

The annualized target salary range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000; actual salaries will vary and may be above or below this range depending on several factors, including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
