Job Summary:
Join a high-performing Agile/Kanban team to maintain legacy data systems and unlock next-gen data capabilities for the Business Insurance Production Support and Maintenance organization. This role involves maintaining Oracle-based assets while advancing cloud initiatives using AWS, Snowflake, Informatica IDMC, and Big Data tools. The role offers a unique blend of legacy support and future-forward development in a dynamic and impactful environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable software modules across data warehouses and marts
Maintain and support legacy data assets using Oracle and Informatica
Prototype innovative solutions using AWS Cloud, Big Data, and Snowflake
Ensure data quality integration and publication to consumers
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to deliver robust solutions
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers
Participate in Agile development processes and scrum ceremonies
Research alternative technologies and recommend cost-effective design solutions
Integrate solutions with CI/CD tools (GIT, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy, Nexus)
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL, or related fields
Proficient in ETL tools (Informatica, Talend) and databases (Oracle, Snowflake)
Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL
Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, EMR
Familiarity with data quality tools and services
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Technical leadership and project estimation abilities
Clear communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Snowflake or Redshift
Familiarity with automation of data pipelines
Exposure to Generative AI applications in data engineering
Experience with Cloud data platforms and Big Data ecosystem
Working knowledge of Jenkins, Git, Urban Code Deploy, and Nexus
