The Role As our Founding Head of Engineering, you’ll drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of our platform. You’ll work closely with the founding team and an established small but mighty team of engineers to design and scale our AI-powered systems, ensuring they deliver seamless and high-impact user experiences. We are looking for someone who will be able to plug seamlessly into the team and continue growing it in an efficient and rapid manner. This role is ideal for a hands-on-keyboard technical leader who thrives in early-stage environments and is excited about building AI-native products from scratch.

What You’ll Do Architect & Scale:

Define the technical vision and system architecture, ensuring our AI platform is robust, scalable, and efficient.

AI Optimization:

Develop and refine AI-driven automation to maximize accuracy and minimize human intervention.

Product Development:

Own the engineering roadmap, driving rapid iteration based on user feedback and business needs.

Team Building:

Recruit, mentor, and lead a world-class engineering team as we scale.

Collaboration:

Work cross-functionally with product, sales, and growth teams to ensure AI-driven user experiences align with business goals. Plug into an existing team of engineers and understand their capabilities in order to further shape and expand the team thoughtfully.

Technical Leadership:

Stay at the forefront of AI advancements, integrating best practices to maintain our competitive edge.

Who We’re Looking For AI-Native Leadership:

Proven track record of developing and launching AI-driven applications, with clear ownership of critical architectural and product decisions. Ideally, you’ve played a foundational role in building the initial version and then led the team through deployment, scaling, and ongoing iteration, particularly in early-stage and high-growth environments.

AI & Workflow Integration:

Experience embedding AI into complex workflows is key. Familiarity with e-commerce or transactional systems is a plus, but not required.

Technical Expertise:

Strong foundation in large-scale distributed systems, AI/ML model deployment, and full-stack engineering.

Leadership Experience:

Proven ability to lead engineering teams while remaining hands-on in the early stages.

Tinkerer Mentality:
