Overview:

Langgraph, Azure, Databricks, AWS – AI Engineer Position can be remote (Work from Home) •Please note that as of the posting date of this job announcement, Mercy is unable to offer immigration sponsorship or visa assistance for this position. The AI Engineer joins a team of advanced professionals, including data scientists, engineers, and application developers. This role involves designing, developing, and operationalizing state-of-the-art AI solutions, including large language models (LLMs), to address complex challenges in clinical, operational, and business contexts. The AI Engineer will focus on building and integrating scalable AI/ML systems, collaborating on software development efforts, and driving innovation to advance Mercy’s vision of personalized, predictive, and proactive care.

Qualifications:
Experience:

2 years of experience in AI/ML development and software engineering

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Other:

Strong experience in designing, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs, ML models, and agentic AI workflows. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Solid SQL skills and experience working with structured/unstructured data, including EMR and financial datasets.

Expertise in prompt engineering and generative AI applications.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education:

Graduate degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

Experience with MLOps frameworks for deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

Hands-on experience with distributed computing (e.g., Apache Spark, Databricks). Proficiency in designing APIs and microservices.

Familiarity with ethical AI and explainability techniques.

Experience building AI-powered apps such as virtual assistants or analytics dashboards. Knowledge of testing frameworks for ML/AI solutions.

Exposure to or experience developing agentic AI frameworks or orchestration tools (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI).
