Job Description
Innovate to solve the world’s most important challenges As an Advanced Data Scientist at Honeywell, you’ll drive innovation through cutting-edge AI technologies. You’ll develop and deploy generative AI solutions, implement RAG systems, and create agentic AI models to solve complex business challenges. You will report directly to our Director of Data Science, and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

M-F. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deploy generative AI models, including RAG systems and agentic AI solutions Implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines from data preparation to production deployment Collaborate with business leaders to translate requirements into AI solutions Lead AI projects with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and business impact Mentor junior data scientists and promote innovative practices Relocation support may be provided

YOU MUST HAVE
2+ years of experience managing AI technology projects Strong Gen AI development skills including RAG implementations, vector databases, and embeddings Experience building retrieval systems and semantic search applications Hands-on experience developing and deploying generative AI models and agentic AI solutions (e.g.. AI chatbot) Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) Experience with cloud AI services (Azure, AWS, Google) and MLOps practices Hands-on experience with typical development toolchain such as IDE (VS Code, IntelliJ, etc.), version control system (Git)

Experience fine-tuning pre-trained LLM models Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or mathematics, or related field Advanced degree in a quantitative field Experience with data visualization and storytelling
