Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Visualization Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, software development, and user experience design. As a Software Visualization Expert, you will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into compelling visual stories that drive decision-making and enhance user engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop interactive and dynamic data visualizations using modern visualization tools and libraries. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into visual solutions. Ensure that visualizations are accurate, efficient, and easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continually improve visualization designs. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and UI/UX design. Create technical documentation and user guides for visualization tools and applications. Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data visualization best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Graphic Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. 10 years of progressive related experience. Active Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications (Highly desirable): Big data background: familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) Experience with Databricks, Qlik, Knime technologies Machine Learning exposure: and understanding of how data transformations support downstream ML workflows Experience areas using open-source projects such as Apache Spark, MLflow, and Delta Lake. Proficient at programming in, and debugging, at least one of: Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R Strong knowledge of areas like Data Integration (ETL/ELT), Data Warehousing, APIs, Data Quality, and Data Governance A solid understanding of Machine Learning tools and Generative AI concepts is advantageous. Expertise in Cloud technologies, including certifications for specific hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), is a plus. Familiar with Data Warehousing technologies and processes (
Ex:
SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS
) Understanding of Security and Data Governance best practices and policies. Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Remote Compensation:
$131,800 – $197,700. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
