Job DescriptionIngram Content Group (ICG) is currently seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville area). This person delivers enterprise grade AI, Gen-AI, and machine learning software solutions with high customer impact. Leads R D, architecture, and development activities with a specialization in machine learning and AI technologies combining with software engineering principles. Performs all aspects of the development life cycle. Acts as the senior/lead technical programmer in the team, owns the solution stack, and has an appetite for problem solving. Delivers results through independent contributions and through mentoring of junior engineers. This position will be hybrid and work from the Ingram headquarters 3 days per week.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science/computer engineering or related field with majors and expertise in AI, machine learning, data science6+ years’ experience in designing, developing, and implementing AI and machine learning systems, solutions, applications, and servicesWe have a preference for: Technical expertise in a core technology area AI, Machine learning, Software engineeringKnowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programmingKnowledge of Development Tools with demonstrated expert experience in appropriate development tools – Python, AI/machine learning/data manipulation packages of Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, RESTFul services development frameworks like Flask, and AI APIs.

Working knowledge of client-server architectures, RESTFul APIs, Model service frameworks,and test-driven developmentKnowledge of development source code management using GIT Hub and JIRA and CI/CD practicesKnowledge of external technologies within domain of expertiseThe Senior AI Engineer key responsibilities are:

Serves as Designer/Architect/Engineer for high priority AI, Gen-AI, and machine learning initiatives.

Leads areas of integration with applications, infrastructure, and data pipelines.

Develops new models and/or fine tunes and calibrates existing models by critically evaluatingthe problems and solutions mapping.

Performs AI/ML modeling, data exploration, rapid prototyping, and architecture development.

Reviews and evaluates data needs, application integration workflows, solution requirements,and user experiences for AI/machine learning solutions.

Evaluates the model performance from all applicable aspects, compute requirements, inferencevalidation, throughput, latency, and solution fit.

Acts as technical expert and provides application development oversight and involvement for the development of organization-wide reusable AI/machine learning platforms and services.

Ability to build and evaluate the custom machine learning models to suite the needs such as prediction, classification, forecasting, or other general purpose modeling.

Leads and executes testing to ensure the program meets the specified requirements.

Drives solutions and guides the work of others to provide full application development life cycle support including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance, and deployment.

Champions innovation for Ingram Content Group’s AI/machine learning initiatives and expands sphere of influence through mentoring.

Works with user/customer community, business analysts, and architects to capture system requirements and design.

Leverages a technical network to collaborate across the organization.

Hiring Salary Range:

 $125,000 – $160,000k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
