Position Summary:
We are seeking a sharp and detail-oriented Genetic Analyst to join our Quality Control team, specializing in the genetic authentication and analysis of herbal materials used in nutritional products. This role is key to ensuring botanical integrity, detecting adulterants, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and industry standards. You’ll be working at the intersection of science and supplement safety.
Key Responsibilities:
•
DNA Extraction & Analysis:
Perform DNA extraction from raw herbal materials and processed products using validated protocols. •
Molecular Testing:
Conduct PCR, qPCR, and DNA barcoding (e.g., ITS, rbcL, matK) to identify plant species. •
NGS & Bioinformatics:
Utilize next-generation sequencing (NGS) and metagenomic approaches for complex or mixed botanical samples. •
Method Development & Validation:
Support development and validation of genetic methods to improve detection accuracy and speed. •
Data Interpretation:
Analyze and interpret genetic data, compare results to reference databases, and generate clear reports for internal and regulatory use. •
Documentation:
Maintain accurate laboratory records in compliance with GMP and
ISO/IEC 17025
standards. •
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with R D, QA, and regulatory teams to ensure the genetic integrity of raw materials and finished products.
