Primary Purpose:
This position is responsible for engineering data solutions, tools, and systems that increase asset utilization, drive productivity and efficiency, enhance the customer experience, and help grow overall business. Accountable for the retrieval, cleansing, development, and analysis of data across various operational and marketing systems. Works with product owners and source application systems in the design, development, and implementation of new data, new data sources, data modeling, operational and customer-centric performance measurements and metrics as directed by Bus Dev & First & Final Mile Markets Leadership Team. Role has high exposure to all sub-departments in Marketing, Information Technology, and collaborates with other data analysis teams across the entire organization.
Includes short-term objectives and long-term strategies to support data-driven, marketing, and operational decisions made by senior leadership and individual contributors. Works closely with a variety of business groups and IT teams across the company to solve complex data problems, uncover new opportunities and deliver tools for leadership to make data-driven decisions.
Conducts insightful and goal driven ad hoc analyses to investigate customer service issues, questions, process improvement opportunities, and root-cause identification.
Reviews performance productivity reports and analyzes trends, areas of opportunity and improvement, and trouble shoots any potential problems.
Principal Duties
Supports cross-functional project teams to provide analytical expertise of data from various applications/systems.
Facilitates regular meetings with upper management and data analysts, to assess, address and prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Develops, maintains, and manages databases and tables for data collection, manipulation, and report generation. Develops, prepares, and delivers reports and data analysis dashboards that reflect the current and/or health of customer service and traffic levels. Strategize & prioritize tasks including product development, QA, user acceptance testing, documentation, stakeholder/business partner training, and production implementation.
Works with IT to ensure the accuracy of granular level data and high-level measurements through to the data warehouse and corporate reporting tools. Is skilled at presenting data, reports, and dashboards in a non-technical, easy-to-understand manner to stakeholders with the ability to translate data into actionable insights to teams and department leaders.
Technical Skills:
3+ years of proven experience and abilities in analytics, database, and/or a systems development capacity
Experience with various data processing systems, applications, and report automation development and maintenance
Practical experience generating and presenting process documentation, reports, and dashboards
High proficiency in the following:
SQL
Spotfire, Tableau, SSRS, or other related analytical products
Alteryx
MS Excel
SQL Assistant, Teradata Studio, TOAD
Teradata, IMB
DB2, SQL
Server, Oracle, TDV (Tibco Data Virtualization)
Tableau CRM (as part of Salesforce, formerly Einstein Analytics)
