Director Business Intelligence and AnalyticsReporting to theBusiness Operations VP, the Business Intelligence Director leadsstrategic data analysis initiatives (directly supporting corporatestrategy) and provides actionable insights to support businessoperations decision-making. This role will leverage advancedanalytics techniques and tools to extract, transform, and analyzedata from various sources, generating valuable insights to drivebusiness growth and efficiency. Additionally, this role willoversee the development and maintenance of BI solutions, ensuringdata accuracy, accessibility, and usability across theorganization.
As a key member of the Business Operations LeadershipTeam, the Business Intelligence Director will be accountable andresponsible for developing PPC’s Business Intelligence framework,structure, systems, and team, which will be tightly aligned withthe Business Operations Team goals and the company’s overallstrategic direction. This role will identify data requirements byoperating company and function and deliver data in a repeatable,consumable format that allows for quick, effectivedecision-making.
Responsibilities:
Utilizing BI tools and analytics to identify inefficiencies inoperational processes, supply chain management, and servicedelivery focused on reducing job and employee productivitylosses. Analyzing services data to optimize resource allocation, andminimize waste while improving estimating, procurement processes,and overall cash flow. Employing BI techniques to monitor and analyze quality metricsthroughout the business, identifying patterns and trends inoperational data to pinpoint potential quality issues and takecorrective actions. Implementing quality control measures based on dailyperformance compared to standard to ensure consistency and meetcustomer expectations. Analyzing operational data to identify bottlenecks andstreamline workflows across service operations, focusing onproductivity, eliminating losses in the system and improving cashflow. Implementing process automation where feasible to improveefficiency and reduce manual errors. Optimizing inventory management through data-driven demandforecasting and supply chain optimization techniques. Communicating insights and findings to key stakeholders throughcompelling visualizations and presentations. Acting as a strategic advisory to business leaders, providinginsights to support strategic planning and decision-making. Facilitating data-driven discussions and workshops to foster aculture of analytics within the organization. Continuously looking for opportunities to develop personalskills, skills of the BI team and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, InformationSystems, Mathematics, Science, or a related field. 10+ years’ experience with business systems, data analysis, andreporting. Specific Business Intelligence & Analytics experience isvery helpful. 5+ years of Project Management experience to help effectivelylead large-scale solutions. Proven experience in building scalable enterprise processesthat deliver business impact. Experience with tools like SQL, Power BI, Tableau, BusinessObjects, etc. Advanced skills in Microsoft, UX/UI Design, TechnicalDocumentation. Technical experience in roles in best-in-class dashboarding andmodeling practices. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint). Experience effectively working in a diverse, dynamic, andfast-paced business environment. Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilitieswith exceptional attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation with a bias towardsresponsiveness to internal and external clients. Experience deploying new tools in a complex and highly matrixedorganization. Comfortable leading and evangelizing a data-driven culture thatis built around rigor and quality, and yet are comfortable withuncertainty. Savvy in the usage of visualization techniques and creatingeffective dashboards. Excels at translating basic business problem statements intoanalysis requirements and working with internal customers to definethe best output based on expressed stakeholder needs. Collaborative, diplomatic, and humble. You have no problemrolling up your sleeves and running queries or answering BI ticketsyourself. Ability to influence others, strong attention to detail,excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multipleprojects and responsibilities are critical to success in thisposition.
