Job Description
SAP MM consultant
SAP MM Initial remote but the resource should be ready to relocate to Baton Rouge, LA within one month upon asked to relocate.
Need 13+ years candidates only.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the SAP MM module implementation
, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live.
Configure and manage Business Partner (BP) settings within the
SAP S/4HANA
framework, including roles, groupings, and integration with vendor master data.
Design, develop, and execute functional test plans including unit testing
, integration testing
, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM configuration solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FI, SD, PP, and WM) to ensure seamless end-to-end process integration.
Create and maintain functional documentation including test cases
, training materials
, and solution design documents
.
Support defect management processes, triaging issues, and ensuring timely resolution during various testing phases.
Provide post-go-live support and ensure system stabilization and process optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP MM module
.
Proven experience with Business Partner (BP) configuration in
SAP S/4HANA
.
In-depth knowledge of procurement processes
, inventory management
, invoice verification
, and source-to-pay cycles
.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and experience in designing test scripts and managing testing cycles.
Experience in data migration and cutover planning related to vendor and material master data.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SAP Activate methodology
.
Knowledge of Ariba or SAP Fiori apps for procurement.
Exposure to Agile delivery environments and tools like JIRA or ALM/QC
.
SAP certification in MM or S/4HANA Logistics is a plus.
