SAP Basis Systems Administrator II Position Available In Cumberland, Maine

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. seeks SAP Basis Systems Administrator II in Westbrook, ME (telecommuting permitted) to provide technical expertise to build, install, configure, optimize, maintain and ensure integrity of computer systems, including enterprise systems for middleware, operating system and servers, storage and backup, enterprise monitoring and desktop technology. The SAP Basis Systems Administrator II performs system monitoring and verifies the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems; reviews system and application logs and verifies completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups; analyzes network and server resource consumption and control user access; and installs and upgrades software and maintains software licenses. The SAP Basis Systems Administrator II maintains system functionality, resolving problems and facilitating development of systems upgrades, enhancements and improvements; ensures systems meet business objectives and user needs; monitors system performance; develops and maintains scripts to automate system components; configures and installs software, maintenance packages, supporting products and other features; maintains system back-up and recovery procedures; provides interim solutions to support business until systems are restored; verifies correct backup strategies and implements recovery procedures; researches and recommends system design criteria; provides stable, up-to-date development environments; ensures long-term requirements of system operations; coordinates with other areas of technology department and ensures system alignment with overall corporate technology strategy. The SAP Basis Systems Administrator II creates and maintains system documentation, such as Enhancement Detail Documents (EDDs) and Maintenance Design Documents (MDDs) ensuring that information is current and reflects system updates and changes and manages system and project budgets to maintain financial guidelines. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience. All qualified applicants must have proficiency/skills in SAP technologies, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and SAP Fiori; system development in cloud environments, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS); and in systems administration with demonstrated ability to remedy issues in real-time identified when conducting systems operations review.
