Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst to join the Data Analytics Services (DAS) team within Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V) as part of Corporate Risk. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.
The Independent Testing & Validation team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.
DAS is a centralized team that operates as a second line of defense over the regulatory and risk reporting validating various engagements including RCSA, Target Testing, Incremental Compliance Testing and remediations. The team is an integral part of the Company’s control environment and provides credible challenge to each control within each line of business. DAS has enterprise-wide exposure to lines of business, regulatory and risk reporting. This specific role helps with the development and maintenance of data extraction methods used for both internal and external reporting for all business lines utilizing a variety of analytical tools including SAS, SQL, GitHub, Tableau, Microsoft BI, and SharePoint Online. It also entails PowerApp development and maintenance for a Sharepoint Online tool used for submitting and tracking testing data requests. In this role, you will:
Lead or participate in moderately complex programs and initiatives for data quality, governance, and metadata activitiesDesign and conduct moderately complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality, data integrity, process, and control gapsAnalyze, assess, and test data controls and data systems to ensure quality and risk compliance standards are met and adhere to data governance standards and proceduresIdentify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data qualityDevelop recommendations for optimal approaches to resolve data quality issues and implement plans for assessing the quality of new data sources leveraging domain expertise and data, business, or process analysis to inform and support solution designLead project teams and mentor less experienced staff membersDrive planning and coordination on moderately complex remediation efforts acting as central point of contactConsult with clients to assess the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibilityParticipate in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategiesProvide input into communication routines with stakeholders, business partners, and experienced leaders
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with low-code/no-code enterprise platforms, automation workflows and cloud-based collaboration tools such as PowerApps, power automate, etc.2+ years of experience with data analytics reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.2+ years of experience with online documentation collaboration tool and team workspace environments such as SharePoint, SharePoint online, GitHub, etc.
Experience using SQL within a variety of database sources such as SAS, Oracle, and TeradataExperience with data management, reporting, and query toolsExperience with Agile methodologiesEffective oral/written communication skillsData visualization experience (Tableau, SAS VA, Microsoft Power BI)Experience with Independent Testing & ValidationAbility to develop relationships with and collaborate with others to clarify and develop requirementsAbility to articulate complex concepts in a clear mannerAbility to clearly express ideas and proposed solutionsAbility to partner as a team member resourceAbility to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement changeStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsWells Fargo data analysis experienceA BS/BA degree or higher
