Purpose:

Wilmington Health is seeking a Business Intelligence/SQL Analyst to support data-driven decision making across the organization. This position requires proficiency in SQL and business intelligence tools to extract, transform, and analyze healthcare data. The Analyst is responsible for developing reports and dashboards, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Incorporate large amounts of healthcare data using SQL and BI tools to discover patterns, trends, and relationships, producing actionable insights to inform strategy, improve quality, and identify cost reduction opportunities. Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and reporting, and use SSIS to support data loading and processing. Develop, maintain, and enhance business intelligence reports and dashboards, preferably using Power BI, to visualize trends, KPIs, and operational metrics. Analyze large healthcare datasets to identify data quality issues, discover trends, and generate insights that support population health management and strategic goals. Create and maintain documentation of BI solutions, data models, and operational practices. Present thoughtful analytical summaries and findings to internal and external stakeholders, and assist with meetings, presentations, and communications regarding BI projects. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions. Conduct or facilitate ad hoc and drill down analyses of population healthcare data. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all data governance and compliance standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Proficient in SQL coding, including the creation of stored procedures. Experience with SSIS for data loading and processing. Experience developing business intelligence reports; Power BI preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with MS Office applications. Familiarity with healthcare or health insurance data preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
