Job Description:
(Initially Remote, Later On-site) We are seeking an experienced
SAP FI/CO
Functional Consultant to provide functional and technical support for SAP Finance, Controlling (FI/CO), and Funds Management (FM) modules. This position will play a key role in supporting financial innovations and SAP hosting service projects in a complex SAP environment servicing over 5,000 users.
Note:
The consultant will work remotely until the client returns to full onsite operations. Once onsite work resumes, full-time onsite presence will be required.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure, test, and maintain
SAP FI/CO
modules (including AP, AR, FA, GL, and SPL) and Funds Management (FM) modules in ECC 6.0. Provide expert-level production support including troubleshooting, investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution of software issues. Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions aligned with SAP best practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and develop solutions to support financial operations and compliance. Evaluate impacts of proposed changes on internal and external SAP systems and interfaces. Create and maintain functional and technical specifications, test plans, and documentation in accordance with change control policies. Support system integration with other SAP modules (BI, SRM, CRM, Portal, etc.). Ensure data and system integrity across various SAP components.
Required Skills and Experience:
8+ years of hands-on experience with
SAP FI/CO
modules in ECC 6.0. Strong experience with SAP FM and Budget functionality. In-depth understanding of integration points between FI/CO/FM and other SAP modules. Proven experience in system configuration, business process alignment, testing, and documentation. Experience working in large-scale SAP environments supporting thousands of users. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Experience with public sector or government projects is a plus.
