SAP Senior Functional Analyst – MM/PP Position Available In Middlesex, New Jersey

Analyze and develop software and system application requirements related to both new projects and enhancement requests. Elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the needs of the project stakeholders, including internal customers and end users. Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. Serve as the liaison between the internal customer community and the software development team throughout the entire software development life cycle. Act as advisor to the development team regarding configuration strategies, projects, tasks, and operations. Perform advanced SAP configuration in the following: Production planning, shop floor control, capacity planning, quality management, and integration knowledge into other modules including MM / WM production order processing, bill of materials, routings, master recipes, shop floor control, capacity planning, engineering change management, and quality and document management. Support technology projects specific to implementing and sustaining SAP solutions for our manufacturing operations. Active involvement throughout the project lifecycle is essential in this role. Some of the activities include defining/documenting business requirements, developing system/process designs, functional specification development, test planning and execution, documentation and training, implementation, and resource planning. Support and maintain the existing system architecture through the implementation of new system enhancements as well as identification and resolution of production issues. Identify areas for business process improvement and establish effective and efficient system processes to support operations. Elicit primary product requirements from various sources and translate those elements into system requirements represented by storyboards, annotations, and use cases using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, established use cases, action scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into detailed requirements capable of clear engineering engagement. Communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze and capture information needs and functional requirements. Participate in requirements prioritization, peer reviews, and inspections of requirements documents. Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly. Identify ways to assist product management in product planning through requirements development and analysis. Propose new product features and updates. Define Functional business requirements. Suggest options and recommend solutions to key business users. Understand the issues faced by the shareowners and help resolve them quickly to ensure a smooth flow of work. Perform end-user support and troubleshooting (e.g. reporting, training, transaction analysis). Assist with evaluating and providing production system enhancements. Write and develop manuals and other relevant documentation to support the user base.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 7 years of experience in the job offered, SAP consultant, or related occupation.
