SAP RAR Analyst (Functional Consultant – RevenueAccounting and Reporting)

Job Summary:

We are seeking anexperienced SAP Functional Consultant with deep expertise in SAPRevenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) on S/4 HANA, specificallywithin the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Deviceindustries. This role requires hands-on experience implementing,upgrading, enhancing, and supporting SAP RAR, with strongfunctional knowledge of Order to Cash (OTC) and revenue recognitionprocesses under

IFRS 15 / ASC 606

compliance requirements. Thesuccessful candidate will collaborate closely with commercialoperations, finance, and regulatory stakeholders to drive scalableand compliant revenue accounting solutions that support the uniquebusiness needs of regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadand support SAP RAR implementations, upgrades, and enhancements on

S/4 HANA

in a GxP-compliant environment. Collaborate withcross-functional business users in Commercial, Finance, andCompliance to understand complex revenue models and configure RARaccordingly. Analyze current OTC and revenue recognition processesto identify gaps, ensure compliance, and recommend SAP bestpractices aligned with Life Sciences / Pharma / Medical Deviceregulatory and financial reporting requirements. Gather anddocument business and functional requirements through stakeholderinterviews, workshops, and analysis sessions. Configure and supportrevenue contracts, performance obligations, allocation rules,postings, and disclosures in SAP RAR. Ensure seamless integrationwith related modules such as SAP SD, FI, CO, and potentially SAPBRIM or Vistex if used for gross-to-net processing or pricing.

Conduct fit-gap analysis, write functional design documents, andcollaborate with technical teams on development specifications.

Lead and support testing efforts including unit, integration, anduser acceptance testing (UAT) with traceability documentation.

Provide training and change management support to business usersand superusers. Serve as the functional SME during audits andinspections related to revenue accounting processes and systems.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems,Accounting, Business, or related field. 5 years of SAP functionalconsulting experience, with at least 2 full-cycle SAP RARimplementations on

S/4 HANA.

Proven experience in Life Sciences,Pharma, or Medical Device industry implementing revenue recognitionprocesses that align with

IFRS 15 / ASC 606.

Strong functionalknowledge of SAP Order to Cash (OTC) and integration with SD and FImodules. Assertive, detail-oriented, and highly organized with theability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in aregulated industry. Experience in creating and managing projectdeliverables including requirements documentation, functionalspecifications, test scripts, and training materials. Familiaritywith validation and documentation requirements for GxP systems.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, withexperience interfacing with business, IT, and regulatory teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP certification in RAR and/or S/4 HANA.Experience with contract-based revenue models (e.g., service-based,subscription, tiered pricing). Familiarity with SAP BRIM, Vistex,or third-party gross-to-net solutions. Previous involvement inaudits, compliance reviews, or SOX readiness projects. Experienceworking in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments. Knowledge of dataprivacy and data integrity regulations (e.g., GDPR, 21 CFR Part11).
