Job Description

Construction Management Electric Paving is seeking a Sr Planning Analyst responsible for leading data analytics and reporting development efforts. This role will initiate the efforts and cross-functional teams as required, engage company stakeholders, and monitor and control all data analytics activities for Construction Management Electric Paving. This individual will also be responsible for working on all aspects of new applications development and deployment as well as vendor systems implementations: Planning, Requirements Gathering, Business Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Quality Assurance, Training, Implementation, and on-ongoing Technical Support. Required Education/Experience Master’s Degree and minimum three years (3) relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree and minimum four years (4) relevant experience or Associate’s Degree and minimum five years (5) relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED and minimum seven years (7) relevant experience Preferred Education/Experience Master’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Math, Business, or applicable degree and minimum three years (3) relevant experience Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Math, Business, or applicable degree and minimum four years (4) relevant experience Associate’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Math, Business, or applicable degree and minimum five years (5) relevant experience Relevant Work Experience Three (3+) years of experience with at least two (2) of the following technologies: SQL (Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft T-SQL), Oracle RDBMS development, SQL Server development, Business Analysis, or Project Management. Required Two (2+) years of experience working with users to define, specify, and implement complex reports, with the ability to understand complex data models and design or troubleshoot complex database queries. Required Two (2+) years of experience working with Oracle Analytics Cloud. Required Three (3+) years of experience developing and supporting Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) ETLs and building data models. Required Proven ability to transfer knowledge to peers and train subordinates, plan, organize, and lead meetings, translate functional information into technical terms, and develop documentation for users with diverse backgrounds and skill levels. Required Demonstrated excellent work ethics and integrity, with the ability to learn new technology using documentation and other available resources. Required Flexibility to manage multiple assignments with changing priorities while staying on schedule and within budget. Required Formal training in Project Management, with Project Management and/or Business Analysis skills, enhancing the ability to manage projects effectively and analyze business requirements. Preferred Experience in developing applications and/or databases, implementing packaged software, and participating in medium to large-scale systems development projects, showcasing a strong technical background and project involvement. Preferred Experience supporting REST APIs and off-the-shelf or Cloud-based SaaS enterprise-level applications, demonstrating proficiency in modern web services and enterprise solutions. Preferred Experience working with GitHub, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and IBM Maximo, indicating familiarity with popular development, collaboration, and service management tools. Core Responsibilities Develop and manage information to support departmental decision-making, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout its lifecycle, and providing actionable insights for process improvements and strategic planning. Perform complex analyses to identify trends in data, conduct and facilitate analyses, issues identification, risk assessment, and decision-making processes, while educating and training stakeholders on these methodologies. Provide consulting and analytic services to leadership, offering data-driven recommendations and insights to support business objectives, and engage with managers from various departments to specify data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes. Manage and improve existing reporting systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the department and enhance data accessibility, and create and maintain processes to generate accurate and timely reports that help stakeholders understand and act on key data insights. Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports to identify and rectify coding errors, maintaining the integrity of data outputs, and gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems. Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids using business intelligence software like Tableau or Power BI to support decision-making across departments, and design scripts and tools to automatically extract large volumes of data from websites or other digital sources, improving efficiency and availability. Demonstrated experience with SQL, Java, Excel, and programming skills (Python, R, C++), along with deep knowledge of mathematics and statistics, and employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights. Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout its lifecycle, and providing actionable insights for process improvements and strategic planning.
