Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the ERP Application Coordinator will serve as a critical liaison and leader in the planning, implementation, and management of the County’s new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role is essential to the success of the ERP project, ensuring the seamless integration of technology with county operations. The Coordinator will work to align system capabilities with organizational goals, driving improvements in efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across departments. This individual will lead efforts to coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to achieve a smooth deployment, comprehensive training, and long-term optimization of the ERP system. The success of this role will directly influence the system’s ability to meet current and future operational needs, positioning the county for sustained growth and operational excellence.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Implementation Leadership:
Assist in developing and managing the project plan for ERP implementation. Coordinate activities across departments to align with project milestones and objectives. Partner with stakeholders to document and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
System Configuration and Support:
Collaborate with vendors to customize and configure the ERP system to meet county needs. Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality before launch. Provide ongoing technical support post-implementation to ensure optimal system performance.
Training and Change Management:
Develop training materials and lead sessions for county employees on using the ERP system effectively. Promote change management strategies to encourage adoption and mitigate resistance to the new system.
Communication and Documentation:
Maintain clear communication with IT leadership, county departments, and external vendors regarding project updates, risks, and issues. Document processes, configurations, and support procedures for the ERP system.
Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate system performance and recommend enhancements based on user feedback and operational needs. Stay informed about ERP system updates, trends, and best practices to maintain system relevance.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Office-based role with occasional travel for conferences, training, or vendor meetings. On-call availability for urgent security incidents or breaches. Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 3+ years of experience in ERP systems implementation and management, or 3+ years of experience in large scale SaaS implementation and project management. Prior experience in project management or as a liaison between technical teams and business units is preferred.
Certifications:
PMP, ITIL, or equivalent project management certification. ERP-specific certifications (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, Tyler Technology).
SKILLSET & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Strong understanding of ERP systems, including finance, HR, procurement, and payroll modules. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Ability to analyze and resolve technical and process-related issues. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Excellent oral and writing skills. Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to pass an
FBI / CJIS
fingerprint and background checks.

$58,000.00 – $68,000.00 per year
