https://vitalsvcs.com/ As a Data Processing Specialist, you will work closely with our senior Data & Reports team members to understand business needs and develop reports and dashboards to support strategic goals. You will also collaborate with other members of the Data and Information Technology teams to assist with planning, designing, developing, testing, and deploying business intelligence data solutions. A successful candidate will understand and fulfil their responsibility to develop and support business reporting, with a focus on data integrity and reliability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Data Processing Specialist include the following: Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Power BI, and other reporting and business intelligence tools. Troubleshoot failures, performance, and data issues within existing reports. Understand ETL and data warehousing in order to pull necessary data for reporting purposes. Perform Ad Hoc reporting and/or analysis as needed to support the business goals through data-driven decision making. Assist in supporting and maintaining data repositories. Assist with development of reports and BI tools. Design, create, modify, and support ETL processes. Perform unit testing, end-to-end testing, and validation of applications in development environments to ensure defect-free releases. Create performance database queries and database designs using T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server. The ability to multi-task and work within a time tracking and ticketing system to track tasks and business requests.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or reporting roles. At least 1 years of work experience in Business Intelligence is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative degrees preferred. Strong knowledge of
SQL, SSRS, MS
Excel, Power BI, Oracle, Tableau, and other Business Intelligence tools. Knowledgeable and experienced with different data sources, such as, MS SQL, Excel files, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, AS400, DB2, and Cloud Data Sources. Understanding of SQL databases and query language. Advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with data storage, retrieval, and manipulation methods within both relational and non-relational database architectures. Knowledge and experience in the Insurance industry is a plus.
