Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Power BI Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves translating business needs into robust and integrated BI solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to drive business intelligence initiatives within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics to identify critical BI metrics. Assist in the development of data models and maintain data warehouse performance, reliability, and accuracy. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Enhance existing BI systems by analyzing business processes and identifying areas for improvement. Conduct troubleshooting on existing data systems to identify errors or deficiencies, crafting solutions to mitigate and address these issues. Create rich interactive visualizations integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources. Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented for your sphere of influence. Provide training and assistance to users for the generation of ad-hoc reports.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist, specifically with Power BI and other BI technologies. Expertise in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and SQL databases. Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements. Sound knowledge of SQL, R or Python, and familiarity with BI technologies (Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI). Ability to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex systems and logic to a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines. BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field; Master’s degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred.
