Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Coconut Creek, Florida. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Power BI and other BI tools to design, develop, and optimize reporting solutions that drive business insights and decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable results.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI and other BI tools.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver tailored reporting solutions.
- Perform detailed analysis of business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Lead efforts to migrate legacy reports, including Crystal Reports, to modern platforms such as Power BI.
- Utilize Tableau or other BI technologies to support diverse analytics needs.
- Conduct data modeling and optimization to ensure efficient and accurate reporting.
- Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on BI tools and reporting capabilities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems to ensure seamless operation and data integrity.
- Stay updated on the latest BI technologies and best practices to enhance reporting solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling and DAX technologies.
- Hands-on experience with BusinessObjects and Crystal Reports, including migration projects.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Solid understanding of analytics and BI technologies such as Tableau and Informatica.
- Ability to gather and document business requirements effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working with APIs, including Maps API, is a plus.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
