Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major in computer science, or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with major in computer science and two (2) years’ of progressively more responsible work experience in programming, or High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years progressively more responsible programming experience in Charlotte County Public Schools Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Performance Responsibilities:
1.Serves as a team leader in the analysis and support of user requirements, system setup, maintenance, development of ad-hoc reports and queries, and ongoing implementation of new releases and modules of Enterprise Applications. 2. Analyzes and implements major computer system functions/applications to include: new program version testing/debugging to ensure proper implementation, maintenance of user documentation, and assists in the implementation of new software functions and capabilities. 3. Analyzes and designs system setup to accommodate integration needs with Enterprise Applications. 4. Develops and implements student information, high-level database queries and reports necessary to determine and maintain system and data integrity, interoperability, and perform trouble isolation/resolution. 5. Analyzes and reviews user requirements and communicates user needs with software vendors either verbally or in the form of written specifications. 6. Assists in the development and understanding of various human resources, payroll, accounting department, and school FTE software standards. Supports human resources, payroll, and accounting departments in school FTE organization-wide planning, scheduling, integration of cross-department business processes. 7. Provides technical assistance and guidance to all school support services department staff in the use of the applications software, utilities, and functions. 8. Prepares reports, correspondence, and presentations as necessary to support the human resources and payroll applications software. 9. Provides technical assistance and support to district staff for all Enterprise Applications. 10. Analyzes and diagnoses software problems reported by users and develops solutions and/or appropriate actions. Troubleshoot system issues directly with vendor securing bug fixes, testing changes, implementing revisions. 11. Ensures the ongoing integrity and performance of the Enterprise Applications. 12. Develops understanding and capability to perform in a back-up role in supporting other Enterprise Applications functional areas including finance and accounting and FTE reporting. 13. Writes accurate and efficient program code to program specifications, as needed. 14. Maintains current knowledge of standard languages, coding techniques, and technological advances in the data processing profession. 15. Handles school district records with confidentiality as prescribed by School Board policy and law. 16. Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
