Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Salesforce SolutionArchitect & Developer at Avanos is responsible for both designingand implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforcesolutions. This role involves defining data models, securityframeworks, and integration architectures to align with businessobjectives and IT strategy. Beyond architecture, it requireshands-on development, including Apex programming, Lightning WebComponents (LWC), Visualforce development, and process automationusing Flows and Triggers. Additionally, the architect-developermanages API integrations with third-party systems, leveragingSAP-BTP and middleware platforms for seamless data exchange. Keyresponsibilities include optimizing performance, enforcingsecurity, and implementing DevOps best practices using SFDX, Git,and CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments. The role involvesclose collaboration with stakeholders, functional teams, anddevelopers, translating business needs into scalable technicalsolutions while leading development efforts for successfulSalesforce implementations. At Avanos, this position leadsSalesforce platform architecture and implementation, ensuringadherence to industry best practices while enhancing the company’sSalesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate has deep expertise inSalesforce multi-cloud solutions, including Sales, Service,Experience, and Data Cloud, along with strong project managementskills to drive initiatives from discovery to deployment. This rolewill be required to be onsite at our Alpharetta Corporate office aswell as at our Innovation and Development Lab, located in theCorporate Innovation Center at Georgia Tech in Midtown Atlanta.

KeyResponsibilities:

Salesforce Architecture & Solution Design Designscalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions that align withbusiness needs. Define data models, security frameworks, andintegration architectures to ensure system integrity. Develop amulti-cloud Salesforce strategy across Sales, Service, Experience,and Data Cloud. Ensure compliance with security best practices,governance policies, and regulatory requirements. Establish andenforce Salesforce best practices, coding standards, and DevOpsmethodologies. Define and validate non-functional (technical)requirements while ensuring traceability between requirements andapplication architecture/design. Identify business process changesand application architecture decisions to optimize Salesforcefunctionality. Development & Customization Build and maintaincustom Apex classes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforcepages, and automation processes (Flows & Triggers). Develop anddeploy new and existing Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, andLightning Components. Customize and configure Salesforce features,objects, workflows, validation rules, and page layouts to supportbusiness requirements. Develop and deploy custom apps, reports,dashboards, and workflows within Salesforce. Support Salesforce.comSales, Service, Communities, Force.com, CloudCraze (eCommerce), andShield Products. Administer and support integration with CPQ.Develop expertise in the functionality and operation of criticalenterprise applications to support business objectives. Experiencewith AI-driven Salesforce solutions and Einstein Analytics.

Integration & Data Management Design and implement real-time andbatch integrations between Salesforce and SAP. Supportbi-directional deep integration with SAP S/4HANA, managing multiplemaster data, order transactions, and pricing structures. Work withSAP-BTP, middleware solutions, and API management to facilitatedata exchange. Develop and manage Salesforce integration withthird-party systems (ETL, REST, SOAP, JSON, etc.). Evaluate dataquality issues and define/implement corrective actions. Participatein design reviews with third-party partners to ensure seamlessintegration. Interface with other IT disciplines to successfullycomplete implementations. Security, Compliance & PerformanceOptimization Work in collaboration with IT Security to ensure allSalesforce implementations meet security and compliancerequirements. Implement data protection measures and ensurecompliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FDA).Monitor and optimize Salesforce performance and system scalability.

DevOps & Deployment Manage code promotion, sandbox environmentmanagement, and test case development. Utilize Git for versioncontrol and CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments. Create,review, and execute test scripts and participate in integrationtesting with end-users, technical teams, and third-party SAPconfiguration partners. Collaboration & Leadership Partner withbusiness stakeholders to translate requirements into scalableSalesforce solutions. Lead and mentor Salesforce developers andadministrators, ensuring best practices and continuous learning.

Provide technical consultation on current state and potentialfuture state changes. Drive Salesforce initiatives from discoveryto deployment, ensuring alignment with IT strategy. Drive theend-to-end implementation of Salesforce projects, ensuring timelydelivery and adherence to business goals. Develop and maintain astructured project management approach, including timelines,milestones, and risk mitigation plans. Lead functional and businessdesign sessions, collaborating with stakeholders to defineobjectives and deliverables. Provide detailed level-of-effortestimates, articulating the feasibility and risks of proposedsolutions. Oversee testing, deployment, and post-implementationsupport to ensure solution success. Coach and mentor junior teammembers, fostering skill development and innovation.

Yourqualifications Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science,Information Technology, or a related field. 10 years of CRMindustry experience, with the majority focused on Salesforcearchitecture and implementation. Expertise in Salesforce cloudsincluding Sales, Service, Experience, and Data Cloud. Strongproject management skills, with experience managing Salesforcesolution implementations. Proficiency in Salesforce configuration,Apex, SOQL, SOSL, XML, HTML, JSON, Visualforce, JavaScript, anddevelopment of Lightning Components (LWC). Experience with APIintegrations (REST, SOAP) and third-party application integrations.

Expertise of Salesforce security, data modeling, and systemarchitecture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills,with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technicalteams. Up-to-date knowledge of Salesforce releases, features, andindustry best practices.

Preferred:

Salesforce CertifiedApplication Architect Salesforce Certified System ArchitectSalesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II Additionalcertifications such as Admin, App Builder, or IntegrationArchitecture Designer are a plus.
