Job Description:
We are actively seeking a Senior Reports and ETL Developer to support NC FAST’s Medicaid reporting initiatives. The role involves end-to-end development and maintenance of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports using Oracle, PL/SQL, Power BI, BIRT, and Azure Synapse . The ideal candidate will also assist with ETL pipeline development , data delivery to CSDW and BIDP , and cloud migration efforts under the Medicaid modernization program.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Medicaid-related reports using Oracle, PL/SQL, and BIRT. Develop and maintain ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or equivalent. Build and publish dashboards in Power BI and integrate reporting into Azure Synapse. Generate CMS reports and fulfill legislative/ad hoc data requests. Work on CSDW and BIDP data loads for federal reporting needs. Lead report development standards, mentor junior developers, and ensure data/report accuracy. Participate in Agile development processes and interact with release and QA teams. Support migration of Medicaid reporting infrastructure to the cloud.
Required Skills:
7+ years in large-scale web-based system programming & design. 7+ years of experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL. 7+ years in ETL tools (OWB/ODI) and data warehouse modeling. Hands-on experience with SQL scripting and relational databases. Experience in structured SDLC methodologies. Proficiency in BIRT or similar BI tools (Business Objects). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse environments. Knowledge of Power BI and Azure Synapse is highly desirable.
