Job Summary:
The Oracle Reporting Lead designs, develops, and implements advanced reporting solutions using Oracle’s reporting ecosystem, including OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence), BIP (Business Intelligence Publisher), FDI (Fusion Data Intelligence), and potentially FRS (Financial Reporting Studio). This strategic role involves providing leadership in reporting design and combining technical expertise with business understanding to translate complex requirements into effective reporting architectures. The ideal candidate will lead reporting design, collaborate effectively with implementation partners, and maintain hands-on development capabilities across Oracle Cloud applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategic Planning:
Lead the design and implementation of complex reporting solutions and architectures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, scalability, performance, and security.
Develop reporting roadmaps aligned with business priorities and technical constraints.
Establish the best practices, standards, and governance for reporting implementations across the organization.
Lead initiatives to implement new technologies that drive innovation in reporting.
Lead testing efforts for reporting solutions.
Reporting Design & Architecture:
Design innovative reporting solutions for complex business requirements, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Evaluate reporting needs and recommend appropriate Oracle tools based on use cases, audience, and data requirements.
Hands-On Development:
Create, deploy, and maintain reports and dashboards using OTBI, BIP, FDI, and FRS.
Build dashboards and custom formulas within OTBI.
Develop complex SQL data models to support accurate, efficient, and secure reporting; troubleshoot and fine-tune queries.
Configure security models for appropriate data access across reporting platforms, with an understanding of Reporting Security, particularly around securing Financial reports.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to report generation, data extraction, and integration.
Optimize reporting processes for performance and efficiency across Oracle Cloud applications.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and large implementation partners to gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements, potentially driving requirement gathering workshops.
Act as a liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and partners, building strong relationships.
Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
Perform gap analysis between business needs and current reporting capabilities.
Present technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
Provide training and support to end-users on Oracle reporting tools.
Tool-Specific Expertise:
OTBI:
Design interactive reports/dashboards, build custom formulas, configure subject areas, implement security.
BIP:
Create complex report templates, develop complex SQL/BIP Data models related to Oracle ERP Cloud, implement bursting/scheduling.
FDI:
Leverage pre-built analytics, customize dashboards, integrate with non-Oracle data sources where applicable.
FRS:
Experience with Oracle Financial Reporting Studio is beneficial
Quality Assurance, Compliance & Documentation:
Validate data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards, adhering to testing procedures.
Document reporting architectures, data models, and technical specifications.
Create user guides and training materials for reporting solutions.
Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and security policies, including knowledge of working with PII data and following protocols to safeguard them.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Oracle Cloud applications and their reporting capabilities.
Strong knowledge of OTBI, BIP, and FDI functionalities, including advanced features.
Good knowledge of Oracle SQL with the ability to troubleshoot and fine-tune queries.
Proficiency in PL/SQL and XML.
Experience with data modeling and database design.
Understanding of data warehouse concepts and ETL processes.

Experience with Oracle EPM/Hyperion reporting tools.
Experience working with Oracle ERP modules like GL, Fixed Assets, customers, AR/Billing, Cash, Treasury, Budgets, Projects, Grants, Payables, T&E, PO.
Experience in building reports for integration and conversions.
Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for data integration.
Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.

Education:

At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, BIP, FDI).
Proven track record in designing and implementing reporting solutions within Oracle Cloud applications (ERP, HCM, SCM).
