Oracle Developer
; Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Oracle Developer to join a team supporting database applications for risk management across multiple clearing houses.
This role is primarily focused on PL/SQL development with some database administration responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle development, Unix/Linux environments, and a solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. ; ; Key Responsibilities Perform 90% PL/SQL development and 10% database administration tasks.
Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient database designs.
Develop and maintain PL/SQL code including triggers, packages, functions, and procedures.
Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and applications.
Utilize advanced Oracle features to build robust and high-performance solutions.
Stay current with new Oracle features and assess their applicability.
Support QA and user acceptance testing processes.
Participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend support. ; ; Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in PL/SQL development.
Proficiency with Oracle 11g and experience in Unix/Linux environments.
Experience with Oracle Advanced Queuing.
Strong SQL query tuning skills and understanding of execution plans.
Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX).Proficiency in JavaScript/jQuery.
Familiarity with Unix shell scripting.
Understanding of messaging middleware.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and version control tools. ;
