The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI or other BI tools. This role requires deep expertise in data visualization, data modeling, and analytics to deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities Dashboard and Report Development :

Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business requirements and provide meaningful insights.

Data Modeling :

Create and optimize complex data models using Power BI Desktop, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Data Integration :

Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Azure Data Services, Excel, APIs, etc.) and transform data using Power Query.

Data Analysis :

Understand fundamentals of statistical analysis and predictive modeling to support forecasting

DAX Expertise :

Write advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) queries to support business logic and calculations within Power BI reports.

Performance Optimization :

Monitor and optimize Power BI solutions for performance, including query tuning and data refresh strategies.

Collaboration :

Work closely with business operations, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Data Governance :

Ensure compliance with data security, privacy policies, and best practices for data governance (GDPR, CCPA) within Power BI to include accuracy and integrity.

Mentorship :

Provide guidance and mentorship to other users, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Automation :

Implement automated processes for report generation, data refresh, and deployment using Power BI Service and Power Automate.

Troubleshooting :

Diagnose and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, data connections, and performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related fields.

Experience :

5+ years of experience in business intelligence development, with at least 3 years focused on Microsoft Power BI.

Technical Skills :

Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query. Strong knowledge of DAX for complex calculations and measures. Experience with SQL for querying and optimizing data sources. Familiarity with Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics) is a plus. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Experience developing a data warehouse from the ground up is a plus. Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
