Full-Time We are currently seeking a Governance Lead in support of an Army customer in Huntsville, AL. This position requires being accountable for the data governance process, control, de livery and tracking against the data strategy.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design, compliance, privacy and policy implementation for data at rest and in motion Accountable for the mapping/integration of applications, APIs and partner data into the Data platform Documents core data flows and data life-cycle , from data creation to data destruction across the IT estate Responsible for the Enterprise Data Catalogue and its integration with our data engineering pipelines Communicates, Educates and Deploys data governance capabilities into data products and services Establishes a ‘data stewardship community’ through across our B2B and B2C transformation activities Responsible for managing offshore and partner resources across data quality, master and reference data tasks Accountable for business and technical metadata, data discovery, data tagging, lineage and impact analysis Partners effectively with Product Leads, Engineers and Data Analysts to embed data management widely. Faces off to Privacy, GDPR, LGRA and compliance professionals ensuring policies are within our operations Requirements (minimum): Background in data engineering, analytics or data science with data management and governance experience Credibility, gravitas and ability to work with and relate to a complex client base and partner environment 2+ years of hands-on enterprise data management experience with data modelling, MDM and DQM success Experience of self-service governance across offshore teams, operational systems and business stewardship Knowledge of data management, data quality, GDPR, data privacy and data models In a telco/B2C setting. Experience of Alteryx, Tableau, Azure (Data Factory, Purview), metadata and data modelling tools is desirable
