Job SummaryThe Director of Digital Product leads theteam responsible for defining the end-to-end guest experience,product strategy, and functional execution of the development ofthe company’s digital platforms, which encompass our Consumer,Travel Partner, and Crew websites and mobile applications. Essential Functions Leads, working in close collaboration with businessstakeholders from across the organization, to define the vision forthe entire end-to-end User and/or Guest experience across alldigital touchpoints of global digital products. Provide direct leadership over Senior Managers/Managers andlead an overall team of contractors, freelancers, and vendors.
Foster a culture of data-driven and end-user-focused productthinking, design, engineering, and innovation.
Product Launch and Optimization:
Accountable for the successfullaunch of all digital products within the portfolio from ideationthrough implementation, as well as ongoing optimization andperformance management.
Digital Strategy:
Provide leadership over the strategicdirection of digital products, including strategy, product roadmap,product design, front-end technical development, launch, andongoing optimization. Collaborate with stakeholders to adapt andevolve the strategy based on key drivers such as guestsatisfaction, cost savings, revenue generation, and improvedconversion. Help educate leaders across the company and inform thestrategic roadmap of core priorities.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with multiple product andproject teams simultaneously, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamicenvironment, and connect unexpected threads across disparate teamsand departments across the company.
Product Definition:
Lead the team responsible for the visionand definition of digital by connecting multiple complex guesttouchpoints, technology strategy, business drivers, and businessvalue with a user-first focus. Ensure product specifications enablea desirable, feasible , and viable product for the relevantend-user.
Product Delivery:
Accountable for the on-time, on-budget, andon-strategy delivery of product outcomes . Ensure carefulprioritization, opportunity analysis, and user testing to achievebusiness results within financial and timing constraints.
Product Performance:
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure thesuccess and performance of products. Continuously optimize based ondata-driven insights to achieve strategic business and customerexperience objectives .
Budget Management:
Build strong business cases that willjustify and secure annual capital and operating expense investment. Closely monitor budget utilization and adjust as necessary toachieve goals within allotted budgets .
Talent Management:
Nurture and acquire top-tier digital talent,ensuring the development of a high-performing team that drivesonline channel growth and experience.
Marketing Principles:
Deep understanding of online marketingprinciples, including but not limited to conversion optimization,cross- and upsell, audience segmentation, A/B testing,merchandising, etc.
Analytics:
Thorough understanding of web analytics.
Competency Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing orComputer Science; Post-graduate degree a plus 10+ years of experience with a focus on digital strategy and/orapplication development, preferably consumer-facing Proven track record of successful digital experienceimplementation and project management in a leadership capacity Experience working in an enterprise environment requiringpartnerships with both internal and external teams Strong proficiency in user experience and designprinciples Advanced experience with agile/scrum and rapid discovery Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handlemultiple tasks/projects Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levelsof the organization, with the ability to communicate effectivelywith senior VPs and developers alike Ability to assume cross-functional roles and responsibilitieswhen necessary Experience in online retail, hotel, and/or travel industry is aplus.
