Position Summary We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and execution-oriented Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the investment function across all products. The CIO will be responsible for sourcing and selecting asset managers, developing portfolio construction strategies, and overseeing underwriting and investment due diligence processes. This individual will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the platform’s long-term investment philosophy, product strategy, and performance delivery. Key Responsibilities 1. Manager Identification and Selection Identify, evaluate, and engage high-quality investment managers across asset classes aligned with the firm’s thematic strategies. Lead all phases of manager selection, including sourcing, screening, due diligence, and investment committee presentations. Build and maintain strong relationships with external managers and industry partners. 2. Portfolio Strategy & Construction Lead the design and implementation of portfolio strategy for each product, including asset allocation, manager blending, liquidity management, and risk mitigation. Maintain a deep understanding of capital markets and macroeconomic trends to guide fund-level positioning. Optimize fund design to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns with a focus on income, downside protection, and portfolio diversification. 3. Underwriting and Due Diligence Oversight Establish and oversee rigorous underwriting and due diligence processes for new investment opportunities and existing manager performance. Lead the preparation of investment memos, risk reports, and ongoing performance reviews. Chair or co-chair the Investment Committee and set analytical standards for investment approval. 4. Strategic Leadership and Communication Partner closely with the members of the C- suite and product teams to align investment strategy with market needs and investor expectations. Represent the firm’s investment strategy to key stakeholders, including institutional clients, distribution partners, and regulators. Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, commentary, and industry events. 5. Desired Experience / Skills Ability to exercise sound judgment, handle confidential information and situations Demonstrate professionalism, client management skills and high ethical standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously Demonstrated team player and leader 6. Qualifications Minimum 15 years of investment experience, ideally in private markets, pension funds, multi-manager platforms, or fund-of-funds environments. Proven track record of manager sourcing, portfolio construction, and investment underwriting. Deep knowledge of alternative investment strategies, including private credit, private equity, real assets, venture capitals, and infrastructure. Familiarity with interval fund structures, compliance requirements, and liquidity considerations. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies to internal and external stakeholders. CFA, CAIA, or MBA preferred.
