The Vice President – ERP Digital Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for aligning enterprise resource planning (ERP) and related digital capabilities with organizational needs, optimizing service delivery, and driving transformation across the organization. This role also ensures that Nursing and Clinical Shared Services are supported in their staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and optimization needs. This leader will oversee enterprise-wide business application services to ensure innovation, efficiency, and seamless service integration. Digital Services will lead a high-performing team, manage critical ERP and related digital service portfolios, and collaborate with enterprise shared services executives to enable scalable, efficient, and data-driven business operations that align with and inform their strategies and needs. The leader also works closely with operational and clinical executives to deliver solutions to their ERP and related digital services-related needs. This position can be performed remotely with frequent expectations to be in-office for key meetings, rounding with team members and internal customers. Candidates who live in, or are willing to relocate to, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana and are within a reasonable commuting distance to an Intermountain Health care site are preferred. Currently, we are not hiring remote workers in the following states: CA, CT, HI, IL, NY, RI, VT, and WA.
Essential Job Functions:
Enterprise Digital Strategy & Leadership Collaborate with leaders in Enterprise Shared Services to ensure ERP and related digital services support their strategies and guide digital transformation work to maximize value to their functions. Engage additional operational and clinical leaders across Nursing and Clinical Shared Services to ensure operational excellence and optimization of staffing, scheduling, and timekeeping services. Create a culture of digital transformation among customer functions, bringing innovative solutions to accelerate their strategies and bring insight into cutting edge opportunities to inform their roadmaps. Develop and implement an ERP and related digital services business strategy, including a roadmap aligned to the organization’s strategy and future plans, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders’ respective plans. Optimize technology investments and oversee the lifecycle of ERP and related digital services. Drive strategic platform strategies and services to enhance efficiency and customer experience. Implement applied AI strategies to improve customer operations, leveraging machine learning, generative AI, and related technologies to enhance service delivery, reduce costs, and drive growth strategies. Technology Service Delivery & Optimization Oversee ERP and related digital services strategy and modernization, leveraging large platform investments to accelerate digital initiatives and ensure seamless integration across departments. Oversee governance and performance of ERP and related digital services to ensure reliability, scalability, and outcomes. Establish standards and best practices for ERP and related digital services management, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security standards. Lead related enterprise-wide business process automation, digital workflows, and self-service capabilities to improve efficiency. Drive business intelligence, analytics, and automation strategies to enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness within scope of ERP and related digital services. Accelerate intelligent automation and RPA adoption to transform operational workflows, reduce costs, and free up human capital for strategic priorities. Leadership, Team Development & Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with business, clinical, and operational leaders to align ERP and related digital services with enterprise needs. Advocate for digital innovation and a culture of continuous improvement and technology-enabled business transformation. Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of IT and business professionals responsible for enterprise applications, digital platforms, and business services. Create a culture of innovation throughout ERP and related digital services teams, and foster a relentless pursuit of customer satisfaction. Foster a culture of innovation and agility to ensure successful adoption of digital, AI, and automation initiatives. Partner with IT security, data governance, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and security standards. Financial & Operational Oversight Manage an enterprise-wide ERP and related digital services budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments and ROI-driven decision-making. Develop KPIs and performance metrics to measure the impact of digital services and drive continuous improvement. Develop recognized industry reputation, building strong supplier relationships to ensure Intermountain effectively influences supplier roadmaps and strategies. Lead successful vendor relationships and contract negotiations to maximize the value of enterprise digital solutions. Qualifications Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. 12+ years of experience in enterprise IT leadership, digital transformation, analytics, or business application management. Ability to understand administrative functions and organize resources to optimize them. Proven experience leading enterprise-wide digital initiatives, including ERP, business applications, analytics, and automation. Demonstrated track record delivering measurable ROI and outcomes on enterprise scale projects. Strong knowledge of cloud computing, AI-driven automation, data analytics, and enterprise technology strategy. Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a customer leading operational functions. Experience in healthcare, non-profit, or large enterprise environments. Familiarity with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, SOC2, PCI-DSS, etc.) Experience with Workday and company, and other ERP vendors and technologies. Additional Information This is an exempt, full-time position with a base pay range of $248,000-288,000. Pay offers are determined by prior years of relevant experience within the established pay range. In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition into our organization, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals.
