The Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s long-term IT strategy and supporting day-to-day technology operations, with a primary focus on the ALIS (All Lines Insurance System) platform. Key responsibilities include developing IT strategies that align with business objectives, optimizing infrastructure, and identifying new technologies to enhance efficiency and support innovation. The role involves leading IT operations to ensure reliability and performance, overseeing vendor relationships, and establishing IT policies and procedures. Additionally, the VP of IT will mentor a high-performing IT team, manage core systems, and ensure optimal configuration and user adoption of ALIS. They will also focus on cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, enhancing data governance, and building frameworks for reporting and analytics. This position is ideal for a seasoned IT leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively integrate IT initiatives with business goals.
Must Haves:
15+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing enterprise applications and infrastructure. Strong background in insurance technology Experience implementing or supporting policy administration systems and reporting platforms within an insurance environment Demonstrated track record in application delivery, infrastructure modernization, vendor management, and cybersecurity oversight Hands-on understanding of IT project management methodologies and the software development lifecycle including, but may not be limited to: Infrastructure management, Enterprise Applications, Cybersecurity, Software Development & Integration Hands on experience writing/modifying queries Ability to thrive in a collaborative, customer-focused, and adaptable environment who can act as bridge between the needs of the business stakeholders and the technical teams Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to translate complex technical topics into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.
