HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, this role will collaborate across all levels of the organization to drive forward Carter’s transformation strategy. This role is focused on the strategy and execution of product delivery and holistic Go to Market transformation – leading some of the most complex and strategic programs across Carter’s. The optimal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing new capabilities, activating strategic initiatives, optimizing and problem solving, and reinventing processes in close partnership with cross-functional teams. This role is based in our Buckhead office (4 days a week on-site) with limited travel. 40% Strategic Direction Develop and execute Go to Market transformation strategies aligned with business objectives Drive process improvement in our operating model, with continuous improvement on how our product reaches our customer with a focus on speed, adaptability, and market responsiveness Translate design & development, sourcing, integrated business planning, and fulfillment capabilities into customer value—speed, availability, and reliability—across all selling channels Drive initiative progress (based on defined charter), businesses cases, and roadmaps (responsible for co-creating, together with the initiative team) Collaborate with stakeholders across departments, including Merchandising, Finance, IT, and Operations, to drive seamless implementation of transformation programs Analyze speed to market data to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation Leverage advanced analytics, AI-driven forecasting, and real-time data to reduce stockouts, improve inventory turnover, and ensure product availability across all retail channels 30% Cross Functional Leadership, Influence and Consensus Building Sign-off on charters and develop and lead working team, holding team accountable for delivery Chair initiative meetings: Steer the thinking and process on initiative development and execution together with working teams Manage senior stakeholder relationships, including progress updates, decision making and escalations Collaborate with other TMO members to drive address dependencies and alignment Attend and Lead in
Transformation Tuesday LT Meetings:
Share progress on initiative, escalate issues to CTO and LT, share best practices across initiative teams Navigate and build consensus, often with competing priorities and differing viewpoints; use data-driven insights and negotiation skills to drive collective agreements and smooth execution while removing roadblocks Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors Act as change agent demonstrating immediate impact and driving cultural change within the business processes Champion a mindset of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to embrace new technologies, automation, and data-driven decision-making to enhance supply chain performance 30% Program Management Scope the initiative timeline, phasing, milestones, and KPIs through initiative charter development Oversee the planning, implementation, and governance of Go to Market transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, timelines, and budgets Support omnichannel readiness (e.g., BOPIS, ship-from-store) to meet evolving consumer expectations Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous process improvements through data analysis and best practices Manage change by influencing stakeholders, ensuring alignment, and facilitating a smooth transition to new processes and systems (to include sequence initiatives, start/stop activities within initiative teams, support and sign off key messages in initiative related communications) Develop and track KPIs to measure the success of transformation initiatives and report progress to senior leadership

Must have: Extensive experience and understanding of the concept to consumer or product to market cycle, retail supply chain dynamics, and business strategy, including merchandising, design, product development, sourcing, logistics, and planning Experience in deploying digital supply chain solutions and advanced analytics tools Strong understanding of operating model transformations cross-functionally, driving agility and speed Demonstrated successful experience leading or supporting transformation strategy for a large retail brand Ability to collaborate and lead in a fast-paced, matrixed environment that is performing while transforming Financial acumen with the ability to develop and manage budgets, analyze ROI, and drive cost efficiencies Strong communication, organization, and conflict management skills to support the facilitation of continuous improvement Action-oriented approach; takes on new opportunities with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm Dynamic methodology; exercises good judgment and can proactively influence vertically and across the business Ability to establish ambitious and measurable goals, monitor progress, and adjust course as needed Proven productive cross functional partner relationships that drive the work forward Preferred skills and experience: Experience in deploying digital supply chain solutions and advanced analytics tools Strong understanding of digital transformation and supply chain technologies
Prior Work Experience and Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred) 10+ years of experience in retail operations, supply chain management, or management consulting, with a proven track record in transformation leadership
