Job Description We are seeking adynamic, visionary leader to join the newly formed CommercialAnalytics & Insights (CA&I) organization as Head of Data COEout of our Cambridge, MA office. As Head of Data COE, you will playa key role in transforming data operations into strategic assetsthat drive commercial excellence across business units. Reportingto Head of I&A, USBU, you will support the development andexecution of Takeda’s data strategy and AI data initiatives tosupport business growth, operational efficiency, and patientoutcomes. This role focuses on upcoming supporting launches whilebuilding capabilities to enhance performance across Takeda’sportfolio of growth brands. You will closely partner with DD&T,US business leadership, BU/franchise heads, and functional groups(ex. finance, sales, market access, patient services and medical)leadership teams to enable them to have timely action insights thatfacilitate the right decision-making How you will contribute:
Support the development and execution of data and AI strategy thataligns with Takeda’s business objectives across multi-functionaland multi-therapy area Collaborate in transforming fragmented data,analytics, and reporting into unified systems that serve asstrategic assets Drive change management initiatives to create adata-driven culture across the organization Build partnerships withDD&T, commercial, medical, and R D leadership to enabledata-driven decision making Foster Human-AI Collaboration andChange Management Support Data-Driven Decision Making and Strategyimplementation in large pharma Support the establishment andmaintenance of robust data governance frameworks that ensure dataintegrity, security, and compliance across all data domainsCollaborate with Enterprise Governance & Quality organization toimplement consistent standards and practices Support thedevelopment of data quality measurement systems and improvementprocesses across therapy areas Work with specialized data qualityteams focused on functional areas across TAs (GI, Neuro, Plasma,Rare Diseases) Ensure regulatory compliance in all data managementpractices
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degreerequired, Advanced degree (master’s or PhD) in Data Science,Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, orrelated field; MBA is preferred. Minimum 15 years of progressiveexperience in data, analytics, and technology leadership rolesrequired. 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical orhealthcare industry with a deep understanding of data and analyticsoperations required Proven track record leading teams in a matrixorganization Experience supporting enterprise-wide data governanceprograms and AI capabilities Success record in supportingorganizational transformation initiatives Strong expertise in datagovernance, data quality management, master data management, anddata products Understanding of AI and machine learning applicationsin pharmaceutical commercial operations Experience in fosteringHuman-AI Collaboration and Change Management Support forData-Driven Decision Making and Strategy in large pharma AI andMachine Learning Proficiency with GenAI exposure in PharmaEntrepreneurial agility in delivering innovation, operationalefficiencies, and creative ways of solving data and insight gapsthrough data strategy execution Knowledge of healthcare datasources, patient analytics, and HCP targeting models Experiencewith cloud-based analytics platforms and modern data architectureUnderstanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations datarequirements and workflows Familiarity with regulatory requirementsfor data management in healthcare More about us: At Takeda, we aretransforming patient care through the development of novelspecialty pharmaceuticals and best in class patient supportprograms. Base Salary Range:
$208,200.00 – $327,140.00 The estimated salary range reflects ananticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offeredmay depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications ofthe individual applicant for the position, years of relevantexperience, specific and unique skills, level of educationattained, certifications or other professional licenses held, andthe location in which the applicant lives and/or from which theywill be performing the job.
The actual base salary offered will bein accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for thejob location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-termand/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible toparticipate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan andcompany match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basiclife insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteertime off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendaryear, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible toaccrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
