Responsibilities The Executive Engagement Managerperforms a range of functions in support of the Mayo ClinicExecutive Office, specifically supporting engagements and meetingson behalf of executive leadership. The position includesresponsibility for writing and communications on behalf ofexecutive leadership; ensuring that engagement opportunities arereviewed and assessed based on a standard set of criteria;development of reports of the programs performance, includingmeasurement of return on investment; development ofbackground/briefing documents in collaboration with Communications,Development and other Mayo Clinic staff. This person will beresponsible for staff engagement efforts, and may serve as aliaison to develop proactive strategy for placement of leaders inpreferred settings to establish and enhance the profile of MayoClinic with key stakeholders. The Executive Engagement Managertakes an active leadership role to successfully drive, develop,implement, monitor and measure results of executive office effortsto advance Mayo Clinics strategic plan and business objectives.
Manages ongoing relationship with third parties and contractors.
Manages budgets. Exhibits servant leadership with empathy, kindnessand support inspiring loyalty. Instills direction, alignment andcommitment for a shared sense of purpose. Qualifications Abachelors degree in a related field, which may include liberalarts, business, communications, marketing, healthcare, or similarfield, plus 7-10 years professional experience in a relevant field.
Deep experience supporting executives and managing engagements forvarious audiences including board meetings, staff meetings, andconference presentations. Must possess high personal motivationsupporting a strong work ethic, flexibility, and creativity. Mustpossess the ability to inspire trust and confidence from executiveleadership, and maintain a high degree of professionalism andconfidentiality. Proven expertise in creating and executingcommunications strategies based upon business objectives. Requiresstrong leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, activelistening, persuasive oral and written communication skills,presentation skills and interpersonal skills. Proven communicationsconsultative, planning and execution abilities. Must be able towork effectively in a consensus-style and collaborative environmentthat expects and promotes teamwork. Must be able to workindependently and collaboratively to drive forward multipleprojects simultaneously. Has a positive influence on others.
Position requires occasional travel and the flexibility to workweekends and evenings as necessary.
