The Federal Civilian business unit supportsmany customers spanning the federal, commercial, and nonprofitspace. PrimaryResponsibilities:
In this role, you will serve as an experiencedsubject matter expert, while serving as an individual contributorthat provides strategic mentorship among the data analyticsdiscipline. A Senior Principal Software Engineer
- Front End/ BackEnd exhibits full autonomy, with the ability to utilize influentialskills to shape future work streams within the current customerbase, while maintaining a strategic vision to successfully pursuenew business opportunities.
With limited oversight from leadership,you will serve as the champion of the software engineeringdiscipline, overseeing the integration of industry softwareengineering trends and adoption within programs, as well as thebusiness unit. A Senior Principal Software Engineer
- Front End/Back End serves as a representative of the business unit,effectively communicating development strategies to a diverseaudience. Primary expectations of a Senior Principal SoftwareEngineer
- Front End/ Back End include:
- Provides organizationaloversight of best practices associated with software engineering
- Exhibits a in-depth understanding of software development andutilizes their expertise to support the business unit via newbusiness or organic growth opportunities
- Advocates for innovationamong the business unit, and collaborates with leadershipthroughout the organization
- Proactively creates and explores newareas of opportunity for the company
- Mentors, guides, and coachesother engineers at the company, with a focus on technicalexcellence and leadership
- Defines and delivers minimal viableproducts independently or with new teams given ambiguousrequirements
- Effectively communicates on existing systems, designdecisions, past performance, and a major history of the projectsthat they’ve been part of for bid-writing, tech demos, and otherpotentially client-facing communications
- Maintains strong tiesand familiarity with multiple major technical ecosystems (througheither maintenance or participation in major communities andprojects)
- May support hiring, onboarding and career developmentactivities
- May represent the company publicly inclusive ofwriting blog posts, generating marketing materials, presenting atconferences, and taking part in panel discussions
- May workcross-functionally to support data analytics activities withinother business units
- Understanding of the BUs current labor mix,with the ability to identify primary skills and experiences;supports the key personnel identification process
- Extensiveunderstanding of government and practice market conditions in orderto drive organizational improvements and innovation
BasicQualifications:
- Masters or PHD 12 years of engineering experience
- 12 relevant years of experience may be substituted for education
- Extensive experience with large systems, leading large teams, andunderstanding interactions between people, systems, and processes

The range of starting pay for this role is $180,000
- $223,000.
