Position Overview:
The CNC Programmer will program Aerospace components and fixturing using Mastercam, CAD models, and drawings. The Programmer is responsible for creation and revision of CNC programs for various multi-axis, horizontal and vertical mills, lathes, routers, and other equipment. The Programmer supports current production and prototype projects while maintaining quality and safety standards. As a member of the Engineering team, the CNC Programmer will work with manufacturing engineers, operations, quality and procurement to develop the most efficient manufacturing process possible.
Essential Functions:
Program 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers and waterjets) with Mastercam. Analyze work orders, drawings, specifications, and design data to determine order of operations, fixture design, tool selections, machine speeds and feed rates Assemble quotations including required materials, tooling, fixtures, set-up time, and run time of new parts and assemblies based on provided engineering data Create detailed setup sheets in specified format for a machine’s operator to guide setup Use Solidworks to revision control manufacturing deliverables Work with operators and manufacturing engineering to revise programs to eliminate errors and re-test programs to check that problems have been solved Work with operators and manufacturing engineering to revise programs to optimize efficiency Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Follow established processes and quality and safety standards Must be able to read and interpret prints, DPD, and GD&T Participate in LEAN manufacturing activities Maintain knowledge of current industry trends, processes and tool information Read and Write G-Code Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Technical Skills

Education, Certifications and Experience:
High school diploma or GED and 3 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 2-4 years of experience programming 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers and waterjets) with Mastercam is required Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Proficient with Mastercam, Solidworks, Outlook, ERP Manufacturing software, shop floor manager, and time and attendance payroll systems
