The pay range being offered is $120- 160k per year. This position follows a schedule on Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Honeywell DCS Engineer/ Specialist with hands on experience in Honeywell Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to join the industrial operations team. This person will play a key role in upgrading, maintaining, and optimizing control systems that drive critical plant processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Work under the direction of the Control Systems Engineering Manager. Assist and support multiple migration projects at the site, ensuring seamless transitions from legacy systems to Honeywell’s latest control solutions. Provide automation expertise for capital projects, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to integrate control strategies and hardware into new and upgraded systems. Implement logic modifications, alarm configuration changes, and loop tuning adjustments in response to PHA recommendations. Provide support as needed for uninterrupted plant operations and rapid response to control system issues. Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize DCS hardware and software, ensuring system uptime and performance. Administer preventive maintenance routines for control systems and field instrumentation. Understand the project scope and ask for clarifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Honeywell DCS platforms. Proficient in configuring and programming Honeywell DCS software and hardware components. Professional certifications in Honeywell DCS platforms are preferred. Solid understanding of industrial control system architectures, including networking, I/O modules, field devices, and communication protocols Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. Familiarity with process control principles and knowledge of relevant industry standards. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines. Experience migrating Honeywell legacy systems to Experion.

Relocation:

Support available for qualified candidates. Weekly commute option with covered lodging, fuel, and meals for candidates based in areas like Houston.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
