Lathe Machinist/Programmer Position Available In Middlesex, Massachusetts

Lathe Machinist III /

Programmer Responsibilities:

Program,setup and operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinetools such as multi-axis lathes. Able to self-sufficiently takevarious metal types from raw stock to finished product. Familiarwith today’s technology of cutting tools and machining practices.

Plans and lays out work from customer drawings and otherspecifications. Determines speeds, feeds, tolerances, and sequenceof machine operations on a variety of machine tools or performs acomplete sequence of operation. Makes all setups and adjustsmachines, making trial cuts as necessary. Finishes metal by hand ormachine. Uses such specialized measuring instruments as verniercalipers, micrometers, surface gages, profilometer, CMM, visionsystems, and dial indicators. Utilizes trigonometric formulas inorder to calculate complex and/or component angles and dimensions.

Uses shop mathematics and standard handbook formulas in computingdimensions for planning and laying out work. Use computer andnecessary software as required. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 5years’ experience preferred, but not required. The ability to workwith others and a good work ethic, required. Candidate must beauthorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis,required.

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekendsas needed
