Candidate must have experience with programming electrical systems (PLC’s SCADA and OIP) Configuration of these systems will be a must for the efficiency of the Manufacturing Plant. An understanding of Electrical Diagrams, and automated sequence descriptions will be needed. 5+ years in a similar role with a Bachelors degree will be needed. What You Will Be Doing:
Program and configure PLCs required for process control in yeast fermentation plants
Program and configure SCADA systems
Program and configure Operator Interface Panels (
EX:
Red Lion Controls G308)
Provide technical documentation of control systems (Electrical diagrams, P&ID, automated sequence descriptions, operational procedures, etc)
Design control architectures based on process requirements
Assist and monitor electricians and technicians for installing and troubleshooting field instrumentation and PLC systems.
Provide technical assistance to plants for all automated process’s. What you need for this
Role:
Bachelor’s or related degree in software, electrical, or mechanical engineering or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience for the 2 following requirements below PLC programming using SFC, function blocks, ladder and structured text languages. SCADA systems configuration and graphic page design Ability to configure Ethernet based protocols, such as EtherNet/IP, MB TCP etc. Sound knowledge of instrumentation and control (4-20mA analog instruments, variables frequency drives configuration, flow meters, flow control actuators, etc) Good understanding of Windows OS and MS Office software (Excel, Word etc) Experience in the food industry process control an asset Experience with Schneider-Electric Modicon PLC an asset Ability to work under no supervision Willing and able to provide technical support after working hours and on weekends Willing and able to travel to different sites What’s in it for you: $90,000
