Job Description
COBOL Programmer CG-VAK Nashua, NH 03060 • Hybrid work Develop, maintain, and enhance existing COBOL applications with embedded SQL for interacting with Oracle. Write, test, debug, and troubleshoot COBOL code with embedded SQL statements. Modify and update existing COBOL programs . Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to COBOL and embedded SQL coding standards and best practices. Create and maintain technical documentation for COBOL programs with embedded SQL and database interaction logic. Potentially be involved in efforts to modernize or migrate legacy COBOL systems and their database interactions. Perform database query optimization and performance tuning within COBOL applications. Provide technical support for COBOL applications that utilize embedded SQL.
