JOB SUMMARY

Re-develop the operating software for our magnetic tweezer microscopes to use control and analysis software based on Python. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES

  • Essential
  • Integrate drivers for translational and rotational motors manufactured by Physik Instrumente to pilot magnets near a microscope stage. With new computer hardware, the most recent drivers available from PI should be utilized. 30%

  • Implement displays of real-time data, so that the operator can judge the quality of the data being acquired and modify an experiment accordingly. 20%

  • Explore the use of GPU processing to enable real-time tracking of many particles to enable high throughput experimentation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High School or Equivalent and work experience in computer programming.

An associates degree or a bachelors degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience. Work Experience 0+ years
